Alanna Nelson

Through fabric and stitch, Melrose artist Alanna Nelson commemorates daily rhythms and details. She begins with hand painted or felted fabrics, then adds embroidery and quilting to create her work.

An avid sailor and hiker, her representational fiber art is frequently inspired by the outdoors. Having lived in Italy, Tunisia and four geographic areas of the U.S. gave Alanna the opportunity to view the world from several vantage points. As knitting coach and content marketer, Alanna creates connections between places and people.
