Former Gallery artist wins fellowship

Thanks to the Somerville Arts Council + Mass Cultural Council, Allison Tanenhause won a Visual Art Fellowship in 2019 to create a community benefit project. This project is now live! It’s a combo virtual artist talk + glitch workshop that covers the medium, some of my favorite work, examples of projects one can create, as well as tons of tips and tutorials so anyone can try their hand at making glitchy art, using only their phone or tablet.

The Gallery@57 Opens Online Shop

The Gallery@57 is an outgrowth of The Gallery. Having worked hard to design and set up a beautiful shop at 57 Pleasant Street, it had to close temporarily because of the pandemic. As a new small business, just five months old, it risks not being able to reopen. But, with the hard work of an excellent team of artists, it has adapted to the circumstances and officially launched the online shop as of April 24, 2020.
